K2 Isolator Splitboard pays homage to our best-selling Volume Shift™
model, the Excavator, the K2 Isolator Splitboard is an all-gender tool
that was built to get you deep into the backcountry…where the good stuff
is.
We’ve taken a proven shape, sidecut, and camber profile and made adjustments to bring the Isolator to life. We’ve added our ICG™ 10 carbon-fiberglass hybrid for snap, a lightweight split-specific core, and Karakoram UltraClips™ to ensure that the Isolator rides more like a solid snowboard than any other split on the market.

Shape: Volume Shift™ – Volume is moved from the tips and tails of traditional snowboard shapes and placed underfoot where it can be better controlled.
Core: Paulownia Tour-Lite Core – Strong responsive, and 500g lighter than average core weight.
Laminates: ICG™ 10 Biaxial Carbon Glass – Integrating tip-to-tail carbon fiber stringers into fiberglass layups ensures a smooth power release in and out of turns while increasing pop, liveliness, and longevity of the snowboard without adding unnecessary rigidity.
Base: Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 Base – Built using the hardest and fasted sintered base material on the market, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 Base holds wax longer than other sintered bases for smoother, longer lasting glide.
Topsheet: SnoPhobic Topsheet – Textured snow-shedding top sheet technology.
Additional Features: Karakoram Ultra Clips – USA Made Tip and Tail Clips for Unmatched Security.
