Capita Mega Death Snowboard
Men's All-Mountain + Freeride Snowboard · Directional Hybrid Camber
Mega Death is a premium, lightweight freeride board built on the same directional platform as the Black Snowboard of Death, using a carbon-focused construction aimed at reducing weight while keeping high-speed stability. The Alpine V1 directional camber combines mid-body camber with a flat tail and a reverse-cambered nose for pop and hardpack stability while improving float in deep snow, with the camber extending further into the tail for added drive on the wide sizes. A Thermopolymer Starship Core™ built from graded Poplar with bonded recycled Thermopolymer channels is wrapped in Pure Megacarbon™ for a rigid, low-weight layup, running on a fluoro-additive MEGADRIVE™ XT base finished with a factory Moonshot Omni-Tune™ stone grind.
Product Features
Alpine V1 Directional Camber + Flat Kick Tech
Mid-body camber with a flat tail and reverse-cambered nose for pop and stability on hardpack, with improved float and landing power in deep snow. The camber runs longer in the tail for extra drive on the ascent and on the larger wide sizes.
Pure Megacarbon™ Marine Grade Epoxy Resin
A carbon fiber layup valued for its rigidity, high tensile strength, low weight, and low thermal expansion, tuned in thickness, width and weave to increase power and response while keeping the board ultralight.
Thermopolymer Starship Core™
Electronically graded, reforestation-certified Poplar strips bonded with post-consumer recycled Thermopolymer channels, forming a lightweight hybrid core with a strength-to-weight ratio comparable to Paulownia.
MEGADRIVE™ XT Base
A UHMW polyethylene race base modified with high carbon content and fluoro additives for fast gliding across a wide range of conditions, built with increased thickness for added durability.
Moonshot Omni-Tune™
An aftermarket-style, high-performance race-base structure applied at the factory that wicks water from the base at a 45-degree angle for added glide speed.
